Collections: The library is fully open access mode and computerized catalogue are available for the users. Readers are able to search a document easily by author, title, subject, key words etc within a short time. The key words are arranged in a such a way that a reader can easily access any subjects by matching two or three key words together for their relevant areas of interest.

Library adds to its collection of more than 10,000 books and journals on art, archaeology, anthropology, ancient history, history, Islamic history, architecture, numismatics, iconography, geography, geology etc. Some important that have been purchased are Journal of Marg Publications, Journal of Field Archaeology, Journal of Archaeological Research, Geo-Archaeology, World Archaeology etc. More than sixty research scholars from different universities and learned institution of India and abroad use the library and the Centre tries to offer maximum facilities for their study.

This was the 15th Annual Seminar of the Centre. The theme was ‘Prehistory of South Asia’. The main aim was to highlight explorations and excavations in different parts of South Asia. There was a need to highlight areas which have been the subject of substantial research for further development.
